Discover the enchanting world of Amediuluz, a radiant masterpiece that unfolded during a visit to the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. The journey led us to the Palau Dalmases, home to one of the most beautiful art galleries, where an awe-inspiring 8-meter light sculpture took center stage.
A true feast for the eyes, this handmade creation comprised flowers and various forms crafted from real corn leaves and other natural elements sourced from Mexico and India. Intrigued by the beauty of this luminous artwork, I inquired about the artist behind it, leading me to Natalia Germinde.
Eager to meet her, I discovered the serendipitous news that she was also visiting Barcelona at that very moment. Her story unfolded as remarkable, and I shared details about my upcoming project in Antwerp, the Palais du Sud. Natalia, captivated by the vision, agreed to embark on a collaboration.
Upon returning home, I sent her images of the mansion, showcasing its authentic features, high ceilings, and unique charm. I posed the question of whether she could craft something truly distinctive for this space. Three months later, the masterpiece was complete, and Natalia, along with the 6-meter light sculpture, traveled from Barcelona to Antwerp.
Over two days of meticulous installation, each flower was carefully hung by hand, creating a bespoke masterpiece that perfectly complemented the grandeur of Palais du Sud. Amediuluz stands as a testament to the fusion of artistic brilliance and architectural elegance, a unique and tailor-made creation that brings a touch of Barcelona’s artistic magic to Antwerp.
